I ordered the Canon 7D Crash Course in early January and was hoping I'd have it by now. Can you tell me when it will be available?

That's disappointing. I ordered and paid for the product a month ago. I will need to cancel my order since I will be leaving on an extended trip and will not be available to receive the item. As someone who also runs a mail order business, I would suggest that credit cards not be charged until product availability.

Michael went to Haiti right after the earthquake (see his blog). I'm sure he intended to leave his business in capable hands while he was away. I don't know much but I thought the video was just on the edge of being ready to be shipped right before he left. This is not a way his business is run. Did you check the status of your order? Maybe one of the moderators knows how to verify orders - maybe....

I could be wrong but I thought it was available as a Preorder? I'm sure they will be shipping soon. as Christine said he is in Haiti.

I called the 800 number three different times and was told, as early as January 25th, that it was ready to be shipped. The last time I called (February 7th) I was told that it still isn't available. The website said it would be available on January 25th. I can understand that the owner is in Haiti; however, someone needs to be tending the business.

I'm sure Michael will respond to you personally as soon as he is able. I guarantee you his products are worth the wait, regardless and he is VERY conscientious about customer satisfaction. Give him the benefit of the doubt. He is busy saving lives at the moment. Hang in there.

Yes according to Michaels blog I got this update 2 days ago (see below) - I preordered mine also in late December and have had the 7d since christmas- I watched the 3 b &h video's from Canon and a bunch of other tutorials. I still hope to get something out of Michaels 7D video. I can understand your frustration. If you need some help with the 7D I can direct you to some great tutorials that helped me or I'll try to help you myself. I loved Michaels videos on the Xsi and 50D and the 580 speedlite. Since this is my 3rd dslr and i have had it for almost 2 months I'm not sure I'll learn a whole lot but I will watch it to make sure I have it set up correctly. I am looking forward to the video section since that is new to me and any other hints Michaels got.

Michael asked me to update everyone that has been asking about the Canon 7D Crash Course, and let you all know that It has finished it's final editing and has been sent to production. It will ship before February 13th. If you have more questions please post below.

Thanks for the update!  I wondered if they had shipped and maybe I had not received mine... We have had irregular postal delivery due to the weather lately.

7D DVDs shipped yesterday. Product page clearly stated that this was a PRE-ORDER with a tentative ship date, for which you were also given a $10 discount. Back just a day and its amazing for me to see how people get bent all out of shape over non-issues. Ive just spent three weeks with people who don't know where their next meal is coming from and all you want to do is whine because you didn't read the product page? really?

his lesson explains the new focusing systems in the Canon 7D. It covers the 5 focusing types, when you should use them, as well as how to change your focus squares in those focusing groups. Michael also gives several custom settings and tips which will give you great results in no time. Its just one of many lessons from his new Canon 7D Crash Course DVD. Enjoy! www.canon7DDVD.com
